However Miller, Indiana is also the historic name of the incorporated town which once existed within the boundaries of the community now known more commonly as Miller Beach, Indiana. This Miller, Indiana is located on the border between Lake County, Indiana and Porter County, Indiana on Lake Michigan at the gateway to the Indiana Dunes National Park. The Miller Beach area was settled in the early 19th century and was originally incorporated as the Town of Miller, Indiana in 1910.
